Thai Authorities hand over 63 Myanmar migrant workers detainees in southern Thailand to Myanmar Authorities this morning March 01,2021.Thai authorities recorded that these arrested migrant workers are working in 14 different provinces in southern part of Thailand and have been detained for various reason. Detainees now have been sent to the Thai-Myanmar border of Ranong to Kawthaung. A total of 63 were detained, 54 male (one of them a current patient), 9 female Myanmar nationals migrant. The prisoners have been returned to Kawthaung through Ranong Immigration Detention Center.Foundation for Education and Development(FED) - Migrant Education Centre(MEC) had then provided them provisions for the journey with snack foods, drinking waters, masks, hand sanitizers, women's menstrual productsand, covid-19 awareness pamphlets, awareness on human trafficking and safe migration awareness leaflets were also distributed. Local Myanmar authorities have collaborated in assisting with the needs of returnees.
